Happy National Donald Duck Day!

Today we remember and cherish one of the amazing characters from our childhood, and also for a long time before in my case: Donald Duck! He made his first debut on June 9th, 1934 and that’s why his special holiday falls on this particular day. Did you know that Donald Duck was banned in Finland for not wearing pants? I did some research and there is some debate over the real reason that he was banned, but we’ll stick with the funniest reason; apparently pants are very, very important in Northern Europe! I always did wonder why he took the time to dress himself with a bow and cap but no pants… but then I realized that the bigger problem to discuss was the creation of a talking duck. In any case… he’s a hit to be remembered! Today we kick back with a bowl of cereal and watch a classic cartoon with a silly duck!
